What is the significance of plooma.ai?
We call our platform plooma.ai™, as a shout to our heritage and the Spanish word pluma (which means pen). Plooma.ai is for authors and entrepreneurs because we are all creating content and publishing.
How does support work?
The tools are fairly simple to use, and there is AI support built right in. However, if you ever need anything simply reply to one of our emails and we will be happy to help out.
Is plooma.ai just for authors?
The toolset is fully functional for every type of entrepreneur and business. But we have added some special sauce and extra features to help the publishing community, hence our name plooma.
Can I pick and choose what features I want to use?
There are different levels of plooma available. As you go up the levels, you get more tools and more credits.
Is this a contract? Can I cancel?
You are enrolling in a monthly subscription, you can cancel anytime before your next payment, but there are no refunds. You can cancel right inside the app.
What are credits?
While most AI platforms use a token system (because the models themselves charge the platforms that way, we don't. We use credits to make it simple. 1 credit equals 1 use. Every time the AI generates a response (i.e. you push the “submit” button to run one of your tools aka your clones), you use one credit. Each month you get a new set of credits. If you ever need more in a given month you can either buy some, or upgrade your subscription.

How does data storage and privacy work with Plooma (and the LLMs it connects to)?
Does Plooma save the information I provide for revision?
Short answer: No.
Plooma does not store or use your data for training or future personalization. The prompts and responses are processed in real-time through secure API connections to underlying AI models such as OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), or Google Gemini, depending on the tool being used. Plooma does not save or analyze your inputs.
How is my information used by the AI tools Plooma connects to?
OpenAI (ChatGPT via API)
API use (as used in Plooma): Data sent via the API (like Plooma does) is not used to train or improve models.
OpenAI does not store data from API calls beyond short-term monitoring for abuse.

Anthropic (Claude)
As of 2024, Claude does not use API data to train models.
Data retention is minimal and typically short-lived unless a specific product feature requires it.

Google Gemini (formerly Bard)
Gemini API use: Like others, Gemini data sent via API (not the public chat interface) is not used to train models.
In consumer use (like Bard via Google account), data may be used to improve the product unless you disable that setting.

What about public content?
It’s true that foundational AI models were initially trained on large datasets that included publicly available internet content. However, your private inputs are not added to that training set—especially when using tools like Plooma that use API-based access.
Summary
Plooma doesn’t store or use your data.
The AI providers we work with do not use your data for training when accessed via API.
Your inputs are processed securely, in real-time, and then discarded unless you manually choose to save them.
However, you should continue to monitor the above in case any of the AI Models change their policies.
